Losing Your Google Authenticator on BYDFi
Losing access to your Google Authenticator can be inconvenient, but here’s a clear guide on what to do
Common Reasons for Losing Google Authenticator:
• Losing your mobile phone.
• Phone not working properly (e.g., failing to turn on, damaged, etc.).
If you lose access to your Google Authenticator, follow these steps to regain access to your account:
Attempt to Locate Your Backup Key
A backup key is provided only once when you initially set up Google Authenticator.
Note: For security reasons, BYDFi does not store any user's backup key.
Submit an Unbind Request if Backup Key Is Unavailable
If you cannot locate your backup key, kindly send an email to cs@bydfi.com from your registered email and include the following details in your request:
• Personal Information:
Real Name, and ID Card/ Passport Number. A detailed explanation of why you need to unbind Google Authenticator.
• Photo Verification:
A photo of yourself holding your ID and a handwritten note that includes: "BYDFi Unbind Google Authenticator Request "+ Request Date.
• Account Details:
Provide information about your account, such as: Your assets in the account, recent transactions, common login locations
• Device and Network Recommendation:
Submit your request using a device and network you frequently use to log in to your BYDFi account for faster verification.
Note:
• After submitting your Google Authenticator unbind request, the review process will take approximately 3 working days. Once the unbinding is completed, we will notify you via your registered email.
• Users who have not completed KYC must do so within 3 working days after their Google Authenticator is unbound. Failure to complete KYC may affect the stability and security of their accounts.
