Can you tell me the initial price of bitcoin when it was first launched? I'm curious to know how much it was worth at the beginning.

It was initially traded on various online forums and platforms, with users exchanging it for goods and services. The first recorded transaction involving bitcoin was made on May 22, 2010, when Laszlo Hanyecz purchased two pizzas for 10,000 BTC. At that time, the approximate value of 1 BTC was around $0.003. So, in a way, you could say that the first price of bitcoin was the cost of two pizzas!

It wasn't until the famous pizza transaction that a value was assigned to bitcoin. Can you believe someone paid 10,000 BTC for two pizzas? At the time, that was equivalent to just a few dollars. Oh, how times have changed!
