- Dec 15, 2021 · 3 years agoSure! Ripple is a unique cryptocurrency that doesn't rely on mining like Bitcoin or Ethereum. All the Ripple coins, also known as XRP, were created at the launch of the Ripple network. There is no mining process involved in creating new Ripple coins. Instead, Ripple uses a consensus algorithm called the Ripple Protocol Consensus Algorithm (RPCA) to validate transactions and maintain the network's integrity. So, to answer your question, there is no maximum amount of Ripple that can be mined because all the Ripple coins already exist.

The total supply of Ripple coins, which is 100 billion XRP, was pre-mined at the launch of the Ripple network. This means that all the Ripple coins that will ever exist were created from the beginning. So, there is no maximum amount of Ripple that can be mined because it's already been determined.
