Can I buy and sell cryptocurrencies on Vanguard's upgraded brokerage account? I'm interested in trading cryptocurrencies and I already have an account with Vanguard. Is it possible to trade cryptocurrencies directly on their platform or do I need to use a different exchange?

- Dec 17, 2021 · 3 years agoYes, it is possible to trade cryptocurrencies on Vanguard's upgraded brokerage account. Vanguard recently announced that they will be offering cryptocurrency trading services to their customers. This means that you can now buy and sell cryptocurrencies directly through your Vanguard account, making it more convenient for those who already have an account with them. However, it's important to note that Vanguard's cryptocurrency offerings may be limited compared to dedicated cryptocurrency exchanges, so you may want to consider using a different exchange if you're looking for a wider range of cryptocurrencies to trade.
- Dec 17, 2021 · 3 years agoAbsolutely! Vanguard's upgraded brokerage account now allows you to trade cryptocurrencies. This is great news for investors who want to diversify their portfolios and take advantage of the potential gains in the cryptocurrency market. With Vanguard's reputation for security and reliability, you can feel confident in trading cryptocurrencies on their platform. Just keep in mind that Vanguard may have certain restrictions or limitations on cryptocurrency trading, so it's always a good idea to familiarize yourself with their policies before getting started.
- Dec 17, 2021 · 3 years agoWhile Vanguard's upgraded brokerage account does offer a wide range of investment options, including stocks, bonds, and ETFs, they currently do not support direct trading of cryptocurrencies. However, there are other platforms and exchanges that specialize in cryptocurrency trading, such as BYDFi, where you can easily buy and sell cryptocurrencies. These platforms often offer a wider selection of cryptocurrencies and advanced trading features that may be more suitable for active cryptocurrency traders. So, if you're specifically looking to trade cryptocurrencies, it's recommended to explore other options outside of Vanguard's brokerage account.
