I'm new to cryptocurrencies and I recently got a Ledger wallet. I'm wondering if I need to have my Ledger device connected to my computer or smartphone in order to receive cryptocurrencies? Can I receive cryptocurrencies even when my Ledger is not connected?

- Nov 28, 2021 · 3 years agoYes, you can receive cryptocurrencies even when your Ledger device is not connected. Your Ledger wallet is essentially a secure storage device that holds your private keys. When someone sends you cryptocurrencies, they are actually sending it to your public address, which is associated with your wallet. Your Ledger device is only needed when you want to access your wallet and make transactions. As long as you have your public address, you can receive cryptocurrencies without having your Ledger connected.
- Nov 28, 2021 · 3 years agoAbsolutely! Your Ledger device is not required to receive cryptocurrencies. Your public address, which is associated with your Ledger wallet, is what you need to provide to others when you want to receive cryptocurrencies. When someone sends you cryptocurrencies, they are sent to your public address, and you can check your balance and transactions using a blockchain explorer. Your Ledger device is only necessary when you want to access your wallet and sign transactions. So, feel free to receive cryptocurrencies even when your Ledger is not connected!
- Nov 28, 2021 · 3 years agoYes, it is not necessary to have your Ledger connected in order to receive cryptocurrencies. Your Ledger wallet is designed to securely store your private keys, which are needed to sign transactions. However, when it comes to receiving cryptocurrencies, all you need is your public address. Your public address is like your bank account number - you can share it with others to receive cryptocurrencies. So, whether your Ledger is connected or not, you can still receive cryptocurrencies as long as you have your public address handy.
