Can you explain how a crypto custodial account works? I'm not sure what it is and how it differs from a regular crypto wallet.

- Nov 26, 2021 · 3 years agoA crypto custodial account is a type of account where a third party, such as a cryptocurrency exchange or a financial institution, holds and manages your cryptocurrencies on your behalf. It is different from a regular crypto wallet because in a custodial account, you do not have direct control over your private keys. The custodian is responsible for the security and safekeeping of your assets, which can provide added convenience and security for some users. However, it also means that you are trusting the custodian to properly manage and protect your funds.
- Nov 26, 2021 · 3 years agoThink of a crypto custodial account as a digital bank account for your cryptocurrencies. Instead of keeping your digital assets in a physical wallet or on your computer, you entrust them to a custodian who will store and manage them for you. This can be useful for people who are not comfortable with managing their own private keys or who want to delegate the responsibility of securing their funds to a trusted third party. However, it's important to choose a reputable custodian and understand the risks involved in trusting someone else with your assets.
