Is it possible to use unsettled cash to buy digital assets on TD Ameritrade? I have some cash in my account, but I'm not sure if I can use it immediately to purchase cryptocurrencies or other digital assets. Can someone clarify this for me?

- Dec 06, 2021 · 3 years agoYes, you can use unsettled cash to buy digital assets on TD Ameritrade. When you place an order to buy a digital asset, TD Ameritrade will first check if you have sufficient funds available, including unsettled cash. If you do, the order will be executed. However, please note that unsettled cash refers to funds that have not yet settled from a previous trade or deposit. It typically takes two business days for cash to settle, so if you have recently made a deposit or sold a security, you may have unsettled cash in your account.
