Information
Wrapped Kaspa (wKAS) is a blockchain-based initiative that enhances interoperability between the Kaspa network and Ethereum. It represents the Kaspa (KAS) digital currency in the form of an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum network. The primary goal of Wrapped Kaspa is to facilitate integration and interaction with Ethereum's decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem. Each Wrapped Kaspa token is equivalent to one Kaspa, enabling seamless value transfer between the two blockchains and enabling users to leverage the advantages of both networks. By utilizing wKAS, users can access various services in Ethereum's DeFi ecosystem, such as decentralized exchanges (DEXs), lending platforms, and yield farming. The balance between wKAS and KAS is maintained by Chainge, a trusted custodian, who holds the required reserve of KAS. This ensures the value of the wrapped token and allows users to convert wKAS back into KAS if desired.
