Takamaka is a project developed by AiliA SA, a Switzerland-based company specializing in IT services and innovation in the blockchain and AI sectors. It is a new blockchain platform that utilizes Java, the most widely used programming language. The Takamaka blockchain supports two native tokens, a stable token (TKR) and a variable token (TKG), similar to BTC or ADA, whose value is determined by the market and is essential for the proper functioning of the Takamaka network. To ensure the stability of the TKR stable coin, AiliA SA has become an SRO member of VQF, a self-regulatory organization officially recognized by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA). The blocks in the Takamaka blockchain are signed using the qTesla post-quantum digital signature algorithm for enhanced security. Takamaka introduces an innovative Proof of Stake solution that ensures high transaction reliability under normal working conditions, with a capacity of 1,000,000 transactions per hour. The verification process and the blockchain algorithm enable the creation of a self-financing network and a decentralized reward system. The Takamaka blockchain provides accurate and consistent estimates for gas operations and precise parameters for calculating transactions with varying data sizes. The roadmap for Takamaka.io includes plans to introduce support for Java smart contracts by the end of 2021.
