Dopex is a decentralized options protocol that aims to maximize liquidity and minimize losses for option writers while maximizing gains for option buyers. It offers passive income for liquidity contributing participants through option pools. The protocol is governed by the DPX token, which is also used for collecting fees. Dopex provides a rebate system for option writers based on exercised options, paid in the form of the rDPX token. Rebates are calculated based on percentage losses and distributed to option pool participants. rDPX can be used as collateral to borrow capital or mint synthetic derivatives. This creates a positive feedback loop for liquidity and higher ROI.

What is Dopex?

Dopex is a decentralized options protocol that aims to maximize liquidity, minimize losses for option writers, and maximize gains for option buyers. It provides passive income for liquidity contributing participants through option pools. Anyone can participate by depositing base/quote for their respective pools to earn passive income from option writing and purchasing discounted options through liquidity pools, which can be arbitrated for instant profits. The protocol is governed by users via a limited supply governance token called DPX, which is also used for collecting protocol and app layer fees.

Dopex also offers a rebate system for option writers based on exercised options for every epoch. The rebates are paid in the form of a theoretically infinite supply token called rDPX.

In the future, rDPX can also be used as collateral to borrow capital from the margin pool, leverage option positions, or mint synthetic derivatives of assets supported within the protocol, such as cryptocurrencies, stocks, ETFs, commodities, currencies, etc.
