Gold Fever is a survival MMORPG owned by players, where they can mine and fight for $NGL in a blockchain economy driven by #CommercialNFTs owners.

The game takes place in a dark rainforest setting and offers action-packed battles, with varying character strengths and complex terrain. Players can also develop infrastructure, acquire expensive planes, and earn by renting them to others. The game introduces the concept of commercial NFTs, which are in-game businesses that provide items and services, generate passive income, or can be rented or put in custody. Players own these NFTs along with the revenue they generate.

Gold Fever aims to become a full-fledged play-to-earn experience, giving full ownership of the game infrastructure to players. The team has outlined a roadmap to achieve this, with the goal of creating a reliable metaverse that can serve real-life needs and generate wealth. The development started in Q4 2021, and the team plans to deliver a premium pre-launch experience with Game of Diggers, an event to generate awareness and promote their unique commercial NFTs.

Gold Fever was launched by Defi Mechanics Lab, a team that combines gaming and crypto. The development is led by Emilian Ciocanea, the game's founder, along with Jan Szymanski, the art director, and Pavel Baslak, the CTO.

What Makes Gold Fever Unique?

Gold Fever stands out with its complex strategy features and blockchain design that incentivizes cooperation between players. The game allows players to earn NGL while playing, offering multiple ways to create wealth, including grinding for gold, engaging in battles, owning a commercial NFT business, and exploiting land for gold or construction.

The game features top-class 3D graphics and a plot set in a wilderness where two factions, Tribes and Adventurers, battle for control of the virtual 3D world. Players can choose different roles within each faction and cooperate to maximize their chances of success. The gameplay involves battling for mining claims, with owners contracting adventurers to dig for NGL. Players can also choose the role of Thieves and steal gold from mining claim owners, adding complexity and strategy to the game.

Gold Fever employs four different types of tokens: Jul, Julius's Brain (JBR), ERC-721 tokens representing NFTs, and NGL, the in-game currency. NGL is used for purchasing mining claims, unlocking rights and privileges, and more. The distribution of NGL is divided among mining, staking and liquidity, the team, partners and advisors, VC round, seed round, angel round, marketing and acquisition, and SHG.
