Denarius is a cryptocurrency that builds upon the original Bitcoin, offering several notable changes and features. These include Stealth Addresses, Native TOR integration, Cross-Chain Atomic Swaps, Proof of Data, a Hybrid MasterNode System called Fortuna Stakes, Encrypted Messaging, Multi-Signature Addresses & Transactions, and a new Proof of Work (PoW) hashing algorithm called Tribus.

During its hybrid PoW/PoS lifecycle of 3 years, Denarius aims to create a maximum of 10,000,000 D. After the initial 3 years, it will transition to a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism with an annual percentage rate (APR) of 6%.

Denarius utilizes a Hybrid MasterNode system known as Fortuna Stakes. This system ensures a fair distribution of rewards, with each Fortuna Stake receiving an equal income over time. Fortuna Stakes reportedly receive 33% of each PoW and PoS block that is mined. The collateral required for a Fortuna Stake or MasterNode is set at 5000 D.

The Proof of Work algorithm used in Denarius is called Tribus, which is derived from the Latin word for three. Tribus combines three widely recognized and secure cryptographic algorithms: JH, Keccak, and Echo. This combination enhances the security and robustness of the Denarius network.
